Celebrate Good Trouble Together

These are stressful times for many.  We all are feeling a bit uncertain. It must be downright scary for some who now feel like they can’t truly be themselves in the places where they spend most of their waking hours.    

Spending a couple hours with my work Family at Nightcap today was special.  We talked about life, family, living in Austin, basketball, and so much more.  We drank a few incredible drinks and shared a spread of mouth-watering charcuterie, dips, homemade breads, and more.  

My favorite part of the evening was when Allyson made some excellent remarks and kicked off a celebration of the women who have inspired us.  We each took a minute to share someone who has made an impact.  I loved that Christin, owner of Nightcap shared that time and her inspiration with us.   She is awesome.

I came away from the event feeling uplifted and energized. I’m excited to continue this thing we’ve started and to build even stronger bonds.  There are some exceptional human beings in this world.  We are lucky to be surrounded by many of them every day.  I’m inspired to work with such genuine, caring, and thoughtful people.
